Watkins?

Postby GregsDRZ400 » Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:16 am

A couple of questions maybe someone can answer. Is Watkins DS friendly? What type of gear is required to ride there? Is it a good place to ride or is another location better? I have been on a track 1 time a long time ago on a CR125. Now I am on the DRZ400, a much heavier bike. Let me know what you think if you have been there.

You riding there or trailering?
I would suggest Berthoud just because the amount of terrain available without having to get on the track. You probably wont like the DRZ on the jumps much.

I was asking because that seems to be a destination spot for a lot of dirt riders and I was thinking of going along sometime. I was thinking it would be fun on the DRZ... but I would rather put some miles on in the back country with no one else around. Do you know what gear is required to ride these areas?

Helmets are the only requirement they used to have, but I am not sure of these days.
